Star Spangled Jello Shots

Nothing says "I love the U-S-of-A" like Star Spangled Jello Shots! Layers of red, white and blue makes these a perfect addition to your 4th of July celebration. Red and blue raspberry jello sandwich a creamy layer of cool whip for a truly special jello shot. While most jello shots can be adapted to make jello jigglers, these are better served in cups.

How to make Star Spangled Jello Shots

Start with a large glass measuring cup and measure 1 cup of boiling water. Dissolve 1 package of Raspberry Jello (3 oz) and stir until fully dissolved. 1/4 cup of cold water and 3/4 cup of Raspberry Pucker (red in color) Stir well and cool before pouring into jello shot cups. When pouring, only pour 1/3 of the way full to leave room for the next two layers. Chill until the jello is completely set.

For the second layer, all you need is Cool Whip and a spoon. Add enough Cool Whip to create a second layer and smooth the top as best you can. Chill in the refridgerator while you prepare the last layer.

For the third layer, take a large glass measuring cup and measure 1 cup of boiling water. Dissolve 1 package of Berry Blue Jello. Add 1/2 cup of cold water and 1/2 cup of Blue Berry Vodka. Stir completely and cool until the jello is room temperature. This is important so that you do not melt the Cool Whip layer. Chill until the last layer sets before serving.

This recipe makes about 24 shots - adjust as needed for your party. For more notes from Jello Diva, see How to Make Jello Shots.

Enjoy responsibly with friends! Happy Fourth of July!
