It's time to look around your kitchen. Pyrex measuring cups, glass baking pans, and cookie cutters can make your job of making jello shots a little easier and a little more creative. Below are a few recommendations, most of which you probably already have a home.

If you don't have a set of pyrex measuring cups or other glass measuring cups, it's time to add them to your shopping list. These are probably the best investment and most used kitchen tool when it comes to making jello shots.
While just about any glass measuring cup will do, in my experience pyrex measuring cups have the most well formed spout which often results in less dripping as you pour your shots into cups. What I like best about using glass measuring cups in general is that you can mix everything up all in one contain that is great for pouring and filling cups too.
I find the two and four cup sizes to be most handy for mixing and the one cup size is great for measuring your alcohol.
If you don't want to fill all of those cups and would rather make jello jiggler shots, a few good baking pans, preferably glass, will come in handy. Just about any pan will do, but I generally prefer glass because there seems to be less sticking to the pan and it seems to take the heat a little better than a metal pan.
Cookie cutters are a great way to create fun shapes with jello. This will only really be useful if you are creating jello jiggler shots instead of using cups, but a lot more fun than just serving these jiggly treats as cubes. Generally speaking, smaller cutters are better than larger cutters - it's a shot, not a meal - and that way you'll have more to go around. This is also a great way to complement the theme of your party.
There are a few other handy tools around your kitchen that might make you job a little easier. For example, you can use a turkey baster to fill your jello shot cups and reduce spills. Whisks are also good to have on hand to make sure that all of your ingredients are well combined and dissolved - just make sure not to beat in too much air.
For other alternatives to cups, consider using jello shot syringes or jello shot molds to match the theme of your party. Enjoy!
