Jello Shot Cups

Jello shot cups are where most people usually start when they decide to make jello shots and there are a few different styles to choose from. I'm personally not a big fan of the disposable world that we live in. With that said, there are times when cups might be the best choice for your party.
The small silver lining is that much of the time, the cups and lids are recyclable. If you're having a big party, consider decorating special containers for the items that are recyclable and encouraging your guests to use them. Even better, consider not using cups at all and making jello jiggler shots instead.
Paper Cups
Plastic Cups with Lids
EZ Squeeze
Twist and Shot
Paper cups may be the one of the more environmentally friendly options out there, but not the most practical. The main disadvantage with paper cups is that they can leak, leaving your fridge a mess and your cups rather soggy.
When it comes to eating the jello, you pretty much have to squeeze out whatever you can while hopefully not breaking the bottom out of your cup. Even though you might be able to more easily recycle paper, it's not such an Earth friendly option if the paper cup is still covered in jello, which is likely to be the case.

One of the biggest questions I'm frequently asked is undoubtedly "Where do you get those little cups?" While you won't find them everywhere, they are not as illusive as you might think. I usually go to Smart and Final, but it turns out that they are only located in California, Arizona, Nevada and Mexico (that's Mexico the nation, not New Mexico the state) - use the website to see if there is a store near you. Unfortunately, they do not have a way to shop online.
If you live in one of the other 47 states, consier Kegworks. They have plastic and paper cups as well as fancy 'twist' cups as well as a bunch of other things for your home bar. If you want to compare prices, Amazon also carries cups and lids.
These look like they could be a great option for a party and seem to be easy to use. The main disadvantage that I foresee is that they do not come with lids of any kinds which might make them more difficult to store, taking up valuable shelf space in your fridge rather than being able to toss them in your veggie drawer.
I have some of these cups on order right now and will be trying them soon - stop back for my review after I've had a chance to fully test them.

These cups are certainly the most durable of all the options listed here. From an environmental stand point, that's great because it means that they can be reused. From a practical stand point, I hope that your party-goers don't throw away any of the pieces in the course of your shindig.
I'm also in the process of testing these cups more thouroughly and will be adding a more thourough review soon.
