Gingerbread Jello Shots

It's that time of year again and who could say no to Gingerbread Jello Shots! This is not your grandma's jello salad or her gingerbread cookies (at least not my grandma's!) If you're needing a little bit of jiggly courage before you deck the halls this year, look no further. Most of the ingredients listed are pretty straightforward - the only one that might be a little hard to find is Ginger Juice - I always get mine at Beverages and More or a specialty grocery store. It definitely packs real ginger flavor and you can use it for other cocktails or tea as well. Happy Holidays!

How to make Gingerbread Jello Shots in Cups

Start by measuring 1 cup of cold water into a saucepan. Sprinkle 2 envelopes of Knox gelatin and heat until fully dissolved. Add 2 tablespoons of Molasses and 1 tablespoon of Ginger Juice (add up to 2 if you really like ginger!) along with 1/4 teaspoon of Nutmeg and 1/4 teaspoon of ground Cinnamon. Continue to heat the mixture until everything is well combined. Allow the mixture to cool for at least 15 minutes and then add 1/2 cup of Irish Cream, 1/4 cup of Cinnamon Schnapps and 1/4 cup of Butterscotch Schnapps. Stir well and then pour into jello shot cups and chill. These are great when served with Whipped Cream!

This recipe makes about 16 shots - adjust as needed for your party. For more notes from Jello Diva, see How to Make Jello Shots.
