Blueberry Cosmopolitan Jello Shots

I developed the recipe for these Blueberry Cosmopolitan Jello Shots with a little help from the Bronx Zoo! It all started, like so many things do these days, when I was surfing the net. It was either thanks to Facebook or YouTube or both that I came across this video of squirrel monkeys eating jello with blueberries inside.

Who could resist? Not me! I figured that if squirrel monkeys enjoyed blueberries and jello this much that maybe my devoted readers would too. While the blueberries were inspired by monkeys, the recipe is based on one of my favorite cocktails. One last hot tip - show off the fact that these are clear by making them in ice cube trays or even those silicone ice cube trays that come in fun shapes - don't let the monkeys have all the fun - Enjoy!

P.S. - If you have two minutes and want to do more to make sure these monkeys keep getting their jello despite huge budget cuts to the Bronx Zoo, sign this petition!

How to make Blueberry Cosmopolitan Jello Shots in Cups

Start with a large glass measuring cup and measure 3/4 cup of boiling water. Dissolve 1 envelope of Knox Gelatin and stir until fully dissolved. Add 1/2 cup of White Cranberry Juice, 1/2 cup of Blueberry Vodka, and 1/4 cup of Triple Sec. Stir well and cool before pouring into jello shot cups. Add a Blueberry or two to each shot before sticking them in the fridge.

This recipe makes about 16 shots - adjust as needed for your party. For more notes from Jello Diva, see How to Make Jello Shots.

Enjoy responsibly with friends!
