About Jello Shots and Shooters
Hello Fabulous People!
You are probably wanting to know a little more about Jello Shots and Shooters and I'm here to tell you that you've come to the right place.
I am the Jello Diva and I've been experimenting since I tasted my first shot of jiggly goodness about a year ago.
Having grown up in the Midwest, I have a childhood history with jello. This gelatin snack was more than just an occassional treat - it could be made into desserts and even "salads." Who could have predicted that people would find a way to mix it with alcohol too! I live in California now, but refuse to give up my roots to the Midwest - home of processd food in all of its many creative combinations.
This website is an homage to jello, but more specifically jello shooters. While pretty much everyone knows how to make the most basic of recipes, I wanted this site to push the limits of creativity when it came to jello shots. I hope that the recipes provided on this site inspire you to do the same.
In addition to a jello shot scientist and a diva, I am also a loaner! I feel lucky to have built this website and have great readers like you and I've decided to give back to my global community by donating 10% of all the income generated by this site to invest in micro-loans through the Kiva Organization. I'm hoping that if you've found your way here that you are among friends or at least planning to invite some over. My goal for the site is to list my favorite and personally tested recipes and to give simple, clear instructions (with more pictures on the way) to make learning how to make jello shots as much fun as the shots themselves are to eat. As you puruse around, you'll also find information about cups, molds and other kitchen equipment that will make your job a little easier.
